Transformation of Glass Bottles !!!
Recycling can be fun. I enjoyed one such recycling project just a few days back. So here I am, back with a “Project Transform”.
Object this time was to reuse an empty glass bottle. One of my friends gave me two of these bare beauties! She just loved the shape and wished to keep it as home decor at one of the corners. So she handed them over to me and the new life started taking shape for the bottles!
First thing first… I just cleaned the bottles and removed all labels from it. Later gave a coat of white gesso. I kept it for drying for a while...
Now on to the most important part of the project… I placed a bright sunny sunflower tissue starting from the bottom and finalised its place. With the help of ‘mod podge’, I stuck the tissue near the bottom of the bottle. Then I coloured the whole bottle with lemon yellow acrylic colour. Blending the colours with sunflower tissue was a great fun!
My trusted partners, the stamps, came handy at this stage. I stamped a butterfly stamp and some other stamps here and there. Using the brush, I then sprinkled black coloured drops on the bottle. No child’s play…but lots of childhood fun!
Finally, I glued string on top of the bottle with hot glue gun and stuck beautiful flowers on it! With this, it looked perfect.
The room looked so fresh in their presence. I hope you will love these bottles in their new Avatar!
